Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Sworn into Office

Las Vegas, March 09, 2023 – Judge Amy Wilson was officially invested as Justice of the Peace, Las Vegas Township Department 7 on Thursday. The Honorable Justice Douglas Herndon presided over the ceremony, and other notable participants included the Honorable Justice Ann Zimmerman, Kevin R. Hansen, Esq., as well as Judge Wilson’s family and friends. Among them were entrepreneur Antonio Accornero and his business partner, Executive Chef Giancarlo Bomparola.

In a display of his ongoing support, Mr. Accornero said, “Judge Wilson is an asset to our community, and I’ve had the honor of being a part of her journey to becoming Justice of the Peace for Department 7. I will always be here to lend my support.” In turn, Judge Wilson shared her gratitude: “It’s truly my great honor and opportunity to serve my community in this capacity, and the friendships that have been forged on the campaign trail will be cherished for a lifetime.”

Local Entrepreneur Meets with Sheriff to Discuss Future Projects

Las Vegas, March 07, 2023 – Las Vegas businessman Antonio Accornero met with newly-elected Sheriff Kevin McMahill to discuss the future of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. During his race for Sheriff, McMahill ran on the platform that he would “employ effective crime fighting strategies to ensure the safety of our communities,” while also “building authentic police-community relationships.” In order to make good on his promise, the Sheriff is tapping local business owners to support important new projects. He is calling on community leaders to become more involved by contributing their time and resources to the LVMPD.

For years, Mr. Accornero has been one of the most significant supporters of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and he is committed to increasing that support. “As Las Vegas grows, we need to make sure we’re keeping the city safe for our residents and their families,” said Accornero. “One way to do that is to get local business leaders involved, since they are able to make the biggest impact on the community.”

Las Vegas Businessman Tours State-of-the-Art Fusion Watch Center at LVMPD

Las Vegas, February 13, 2023 – Prominent Las Vegas entrepreneur Antonio Accornero was invited for a private tour of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Fusion Watch Center on Monday. Fusion Watch, a 24/7 real-time crime center situated in the LMVPD Fusion Center, is a virtual crime-fighting unit responsible for the development and deployment of advanced technologies to prevent crime and terrorism across the Las Vegas Valley. Fusion Watch operates under the mantra that one officer behind a keyboard can be equivalent to three or more officers on the street and is responsible for proactive police work and patrol watch via their network of 600+ public safety cameras.
 

Due to his close working relationship with the LVMPD, Mr. Accornero had the rare opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the highly-sensitive Center, learning more about the unit during a meeting with Sergeant Brian Leahy of the Southern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center.

Las Vegas Judge Celebrates Election Victory at Local Restaurant

Las Vegas, February 01, 2023 – Judge Amy Wilson celebrated her election victory Wednesday night with a party at Siena Italian Authentic Trattoria and Deli. Wilson ran for election for Department 7 of the Las Vegas Township Justice Court in Nevada. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022 and assumed office on January 2, 2023.
 

Antonio Accornero, owner of Siena Italian Restaurant, has been an avid supporter of Amy Wilson and was happy to host her victory party at his restaurant. “I’ve had the privilege to get to know Judge Wilson, and she is the most capable person for the job,” said Accornero. “She has experience and integrity.”

50th Anniversary of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department

Las Vegas, January 20, 2023 – Beth Fisher of the LVMPD Community Relations Office of Public Information stopped by Antonio Accornero’s office Friday to discuss important upcoming events to celebrate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s 50th Anniversary. Among these are: the Wonder Women of Metro Luncheon, the Hidden Heroes Gala, the 50th Anniversary Book Launch, the Lunch with the Sheriff Event, and the Sheriff Salutes the Best of the Badge Gala.

 

Mr. Accornero has been a longtime supporter of the LVMPD, funding numerous programs and initiatives, as well as contributing to community safety and crime prevention efforts. The LVMPD is thankful to have his support, and newly-elected Sheriff McMahill will be working personally with Mr. Accornero to ensure that the LVMPD remains one of the finest police departments in the nation.

LVMPD Foundation’s ‘100 Club’ Members Take Part in “Go True Blue” Campaign

Las Vegas, January 09, 2023 – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation hosted its ‘100 Club’ Annual VIP Donor Appreciation Reception Monday evening at Resorts World Las Vegas. The event offered guests a special presentation and viewing of the Las Vegas Strip as hotel marquees went “True Blue” for Law Enforcement Appreciation Month.

 

100 Club Founding Member Antonio Accornero was there to continue his support of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, with special congratulations to newly-elected Sheriff Kevin McMahill. “It's a new year, and I am looking forward to collaborating much more with the LVMPD,” said Accornero. “2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the LVMPD, and Sheriff McMahill has great ideas for improving the Department and making Las Vegas an even safer place to visit and live.”

Women United Members and Volunteers Recognized at Luncheon

Las Vegas, November 09, 2022 – Siena Italian Restaurant hosted the 15th Annual Women United Suit Drive Luncheon on Wednesday to honor members and volunteers of United Way’s Women United who, dedicate their time and resources to the cause. During the annual event, Women United members rally the community to donate new and gently used women’s professional wear to distribute to local agencies with return-to-work programs. The event unites female leaders across Southern Nevada to empower women returning to the workplace by helping them prepare for job interviews, enter the workforce successfully, and achieve financial stability. This year’s drive collected a record-breaking 6,995 professional items including suits, dresses, shoes, handbags, and jewelry to support agencies such as: Catholic Charities, Dress for Success, Goodwill, Tech Impact, Jobs for Nevada Graduates, Signs of Hope, and St Jude’s Ranch.

Las Vegas, October 21, 2022 – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation hosted its 9th annual “Sheriff Salutes the Best of the Badge” Gala Friday night at the Wynn Hotel. Each year at the event, the LVMPD honors its officers for distinguishing themselves in the line of duty. These brave men and women are dedicated to saving lives while risking their own, and their dramatic and harrowing stories earn the top officers a commendation. Among these are: the Medal of Valor, the Unit Medal of Valor, the Preservation of Life Award, the Medal of Honor, and the Purple Heart Award.

Restaurant Hosts Second Fundraiser for Las Vegas District Attorney Steve Wolfson

Las Vegas, October 10, 2022 – As Election Day draws near, political candidates are counting on fundraising events in the final push for donations and votes. Once again, Siena Italian Authentic Trattoria co-owners, Antonio Accornero and Chef Giancarlo Bomparola, hosted a VIP event at their restaurant Monday evening as a fundraiser for the re-election campaign of incumbent District Attorney, Steve Wolfson. Attendees included prominent Las Vegas lawyers, judges, and business owners – a sign of the admiration and respect Mr. Wolfson has garnered for his work over the years as Clark County’s lead prosecutor. In his role as top prosecutor, Wolfson heads the largest and busiest law firm in the state of Nevada. He manages a $65 million budget and over 700 employees, including 170 attorneys, in four different divisions who, combined, handle nearly 100,000 cases annually.
