LVMPD Foundation Hosts 11th Annual Best of the Badge Gala
Las Vegas, October 05, 2024 – The LVMPD Foundation hosted its 11th Annual “Sheriff Salutes the Best of the Badge” Gala Saturday night at the Wynn Hotel. Each year, the event honors officers for distinguishing themselves in the line of duty. In a special acknowledgment, he presented the “Sheriff’s Honors: Best of Staff” Award to Assistant Sheriff Yaz Yatomi, who consistently prioritizes police officers and the community she serves.
In attendance once again this year was Las Vegas entrepreneur Antonio Accornero, the newest board member of the LVMPD Foundation. “It’s an honor for me to attend this Gala every year to celebrate the heroism of all the officers,” said Accornero, “but this year is especially meaningful, since I am now on the Foundation Board of Directors.” Support from civic-minded business leaders like Accornero enables officers to better protect communities and reduce crime across Clark County.

Berkley agreed, assuring him that her experience and knowledge will help her in handling the challenges ahead. She and Accornero are on the same page as far as fostering a strong relationship with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, an organization Accornero ardently supports.
