Las Vegas, September 6, 2022 – The Nevada Republican Club hosted a luncheon honoring Sheriff-Elect Kevin McMahill at the Ahern Hotel in Las Vegas on Tuesday. The event provided guests the opportunity to network, as well as to interact with Sheriff-Elect McMahill on a personal level. Supporters were eager to hear what McMahill has planned for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department when he assumes office in January of next year. “I’ve had a chance to take a much-needed vacation with my family,” McMahill said, “but I’m ready to get to work and solve some of the biggest problems in our community.”

A longtime friend of McMahill’s, Antonio Accornero, was in attendance to show his support of the Sheriff-Elect. “Kevin is the most qualified person for this job,” said Accornero, “and I know we’re going to see positive results when he takes over the position of Sheriff.” As a major supporter of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Accornero was recognized last month for his generous contributions to the Department and awarded the distinction of being honored as a Founding Member of the prestigious 100 Club. “100” signifies the call sign for the LVMPD Sheriff, and membership to the 100 Club is only offered to generous donors who invest in public safety annually. As a founding member, Accornero will continue to be heavily involved in LVMPD events and offer his ongoing support.

The Nevada Republican Club was founded in 1981 and is the longest consecutive-running center-right organization in the state of Nevada. The organization holds monthly luncheons on the first Tuesday of every month, open to its 700 members and anyone interested in joining.
