Benefitting Three Square Food Bank
Las Vegas, NV – November 03, 2016 – Siena Italian Authentic Trattoria & Deli, a decades-long favorite among Las Vegas locals, donated $8,500 to Three Square Food Bank today. The generous contribution will provide 25,500 meals to local families in need this holiday season.
Restaurant partners Antonio Accornero and Chef Giancarlo Bomparola were on hand to personally present the check to Three Square. “We are honored to partner with Three Square for such a vital cause, and we’re pleased that we were able to raise as much as we did,” said Mr. Accornero. “I would like to thank all of the members of our community who helped make this possible.”
Three Square is Southern Nevada’s only food bank providing food assistance to the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda, and Clark Counties. The nonprofit’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. They work with a service network of approximately 1,300 community partners, including Siena Italian Restaurant, to reach struggling individuals and families at risk of hunger.
In January 2016, Three Square Food Bank embarked on a journey of transformation through a newly formed executive leadership team with a vision for expanding access to food resources by connecting with agency partners, local governments, and state and federal authorities. Three Square also reached out to critical friends in the community – experts in the fields of finance, operations, government affairs, and development. As a valued business leader in the community, Antonio Accornero was proud to take on the role of collaborator in an effort to ensure that all Southern Nevada food-insecure residents have access to food.
