Las Vegas, September 19, 2023 – Las Vegas businessman Antonio Accornero met with LVMPD Foundation Officials Tuesday to discuss future fundraising events. The LVMPD Foundation raises funds to support and supplement LVMPD programs and initiatives such as area commands, special units, equipment and technology, and hundreds of crime prevention events and community engagement activities that help build trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
For years, Mr. Accornero has been one of the most significant supporters of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and he is committed to increasing that support. “Las Vegas has seen tremendous growth in recent years, and we need to make sure we’re keeping the city safe for our residents and their families,” said Accornero. “By supporting the LVMPD through the LVMPD Foundation, we can all help make southern Nevada a safer place, and I encourage other local business leaders to get involved.”
The Foundation recently appointed new Executive Director Karen Marben, who “has an extensive background in non-profit leadership and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. She joins the Foundation with a robust understanding and appreciation of the Foundation’s mission to support LVMPD with engaging community initiatives and fundraising.”
Antonio Accornero offers his sincerest congratulations to Ms. Marben on her new position at the LVMPD Foundation and is looking forward to working more with the Foundation in their efforts to building a stronger police force and a safer community!
