Las Vegas, July 08, 2022 – Siena Italian Restaurant hosted the First Annual LVMPD Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Friday for Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department volunteers who have selflessly lent their time and resources to the Department. Mary Ballinger, LVMPD Administrative Assistant and coordinator of the event was pleased with the turnout. “It’s very important for us to recognize all of the people who have done so much for the Police Department,” Ballinger said. “Without the engagement of community volunteers, the LVMPD wouldn’t be able to operate as effectively as it does.”

Local entrepreneur Antonio Accornero generously donated his restaurant as the setting for the event. “As a longtime supporter of Metro, I am more than happy to host this luncheon as a ‘thank you’ to all of the people who contribute their efforts to the Police Pepartment,” said Accornero. “When we all work together, we help the police to make our community a safer place.”

Executive Chef Giancarlo Bomparola was on hand to prepare some of his specialty dishes, including Pollo Marsala, Penne alla Vodka, meatballs, and Caesar salad. Also among the offerings was Siena’s Buongustaio – a lovely presentation of cured meat, imported cheese, and marinated veggies & olives. For dessert, guests were treated to a delightful assortment of Italian cookies and pastries.

Participants enjoyed the elegant atmosphere of one of Las Vegas’s favorite restaurants, and the event was such a success that next year’s luncheon is already being planned.
