Benefitting Opportunity Village
Las Vegas, NV – December 07, 2019 – The Las Vegas Great Santa Run returned to Downtown Las Vegas on the Fremont Street Experience for the 15th Anniversary Edition of the charity run. This year's official 5K Grand Marshals were Las Vegas Aces players A'ja Wilson and Jackie Young. Each year, the Las Vegas Great Santa Run attracts thousands of runners and walkers from all over the world. Participants include families, businesses, individuals, and global tourists. As in years past, Antonio Accornero and Team Siena once again participated in the event, benefitting Opportunity Village.
Not only has the Las Vegas Great Santa Run been featured in Runner’s World Magazine and several other national media outlets, but it has also attracted notable Vegas locals, including Wayne Newton, Shania Twain, Olivia Newton-John, Lance Burton, Chippendales, Siegfried & Roy, Terry Fator, Holly Madison, Kurt Busch, Human Nature, the Jabbawockeez, and more!
As always, registrants received a five-piece Santa suit, a runner goody bag, and – this year – a Special Anniversary Finisher’s Medal. In addition to being the most fun participants could ever have while wearing a Santa suit, the event is one of Opportunity Village’s most important fundraisers, with all proceeds benefitting the programs and services for over 3,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Southern Nevada.
